Career Services is a free event at the Northwest Regional Women in Computing Conference for all attendees. Our career advisers will be available during the Career Fair. Sign-up sheets for the career services will be available at the registration location. Sign up early as space is limited.

Our Career Advisers
Julia Santos – Google

Julia Santos recently joined Google’s Portland office as a cloud services software engineer after an eight year career at Intel. While at Intel, she held a variety of roles from developing semiconductor design software to working on analytics and machine learning for network security. Prior to Intel, she studied math and CIS at Northwestern University, and moved to Oregon after finishing her undergraduate studies. Julia completed an MS in applied mathematics in 2015 at the University of Washington, where she focused on scientific computing along with computational neuroscience research.
Helena Lucia – Cylance
Helena Lucia graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Washington State University in 2014. During her college years, she completed two internships at Intel and one with Google Summer of Code. She also worked as a software engineer during school and, after graduation, accepted an offer as a Rotation Engineer at Intel. She currently works as a Software Engineer on a malware forensics team at Cylance, a security company dedicated to using artificial intelligence to combat and contain viruses.
During her spare time, Helena enjoys working on the house, painting, traveling and spending time with her partner, Corey, and their blended family of seven.
Daman Oberoi – Intel
Daman Oberoi has a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from University of Portland and a Masters in Computer Science from Oregon State. He has been working at Intel for 10 years, where his current title is Intel Freelancer. Every day he gets to combine his skills in software engineering and project management with his passions for career development and working with interns and people new to Intel. When he’s not having fun at work, he’s having fun playing basketball or board games or traveling the world with friends and family.
