Kaitlyn would like to thank her her aunt who took her to NASA Ames and Google and encouraged her interest in math and science and also her mentors at the BPA and HP for providing her with invaluable engineering internships and learning experiences.
Giving to the community has always been a part of Kaitlyn’s life. She served a 2 year term on DoSomething.org’s Youth Advisory Council and helped with campaign development, website maintenance, grant judging, and empowering youth to make a difference in their community. From collecting used jeans for homeless teens, volunteering at a hospital, speaking at school board and state board of education meetings and organizing a group to advocate music, Kaitlyn’s projects have a lasting impact as she strives to be a catalyst for change.
Future: Major in electrical engineering, learn more about computer science, continue playing music ,volunteering, and tutoring girls who are interested in math and science.
